This Image. This Family. This Session. The Wheeler Family had an absolutely beautiful day for their 2018 fall session, cool temperatures, amazing golden light, and an adorable little girl! There isn’t one image from their session that I’m not in love with, picking a favorite is nearly impossible and their session is one of my favorites from this year!
Last week I received a notification that an image from their session was going to be published in Shutter Scene Magazine! I was speechless, excited, and in awe! Publication, something photographers dream of, something I have been dreaming of since the first time I picked up my camera so many years ago. It still feels surreal!

2018 has been an amazing year, from newborns, milestones, families, weddings, pups, and more, things are winding down as we near the Holidays and ready ourselves for the New Year! Graphics projects are still keeping me busy and it’s been so much fun to create Holiday cards for clients with images from their sessions! Logo Designs are underway and many more projects are on the books!

A huge thank you to everyone whom has helped me to get to this point, for supporting my leap into the graphic design and photography business to the wonderful and amazing clients I have had the chance to work with! You have all made this business what it is, an amazing journey that I wouldn’t want to share with anyone else! Thank You!

2019 has brought a chilly start to our new year with subzero temperatures, snow, and winds! However, some great sessions and lots of graphic design projects have kept me warm indoors! I happened to be going through some sessions from a few years ago and came across an image that I have always loved from Brian & Melissa’s wedding during their bridal portraits. Their ceremony was moved indoors due to rain and our portrait locations were changed a little, but we headed down the road to a local farm and were able to capture some beautiful moments, including this one!

A few weeks ago Shutter Scene Magazine notified me that this image from Brian & Melissa’s wedding had been chosen for submission in their wedding issue! While still feeling excitement about the image from the Wheeler session being published in December, I never expected to have another image published!

Since this image was taken, Brian & Melissa have added a beautiful little girl to their family and I was honored to capture her newborn session. I love getting to know couples and watching their families grow through capturing those important milestones! Thank you all again for your continued support and helping to make 2019 amazing! I can’t wait to capture more amazing people this year!

Spring in Ohio this year has consisted of all four seasons in almost every day! We have snow in the morning, followed by spring, then summer afternoons, with fall in the evenings. However, amidst the confusing temperatures, spring foliage is poking through the ground and the buds are appearing on the trees! With spring sessions in full swing and the warmer weather calling us outside, we are all looking forward to warm summer nights with park visits and ice cream from our local ice cream shop!

Senior sessions have always been one of my favorite sessions! Each senior has something special that they want to include, a special location, amazing outfits, and the excitement that they are in their last year of high school and will be moving on to bigger and better things! 2016 Archbold High School graduate Bekah’s session was no exception! We had beautiful golden light, great fall weather, stunning colors, and lots of amazing locations in and around our small town. Thank you Bekah for the opportunity to capture such a special moment in your life! This image is just one of my many favorites from her session!

I happened to see that Shutter Scene Magazine was doing a special 30 image edition senior issue and I thought I’d share this image with fellow photographers and see what happened! The senior entries were stunning, the colors were bold and striking, and it was worth the submission just to receive notifications that another senior image had been posted and to see the work of so many talented photographers. Hundreds of images from across the country were submitted and out of the blue I received a notification that Bekah’s image had been chosen to be one of the 30 images featured in this special edition publication! Since her 2016 high school graduation, Bekah has been studying at The Ohio State University(Go Bucks!) and will be wrapping up in 2020! Best of luck in your final year at OSU!!!

It has been another wonderful fall full of amazing families, seniors, kids, and weddings! As we head into the holiday season and colder weather, that means prepping for our annual local Christmas Village Craft Show! This image of Hailie has been one of my favorites since the moment I pressed the shutter button and knew right away that it was going to be one of the ones that we would feature at the show. The beautiful red flowers filled a field at one of the local Metroparks and with the sun setting in the distance, it was the perfect place to round out her session! On a whim, not expecting to hear anything back, I submitted this image for publication; several days later I was notified that it would be among a select few featured in the publication!

Thank you so much Hailie for allowing us to capture such a special moment in your senior year and for such a wonderful fall evening!

While 2020 was a year all of us will remember it was also a year of enjoying more family time!  Things were shut down but yet it didn’t stop us from planning our fall and getting ready to capture families, seniors, weddings, and kids!  2021 has started out wonderfully with a beautiful March wedding, many great extended family sessions on the books, and even a vehicle graphic install complete!  Many things go on behind the scenes of small businesses, our pages may seem quite but there is planning, research, learning, and even publishing going on!  Macro photography has always been an interest of mine and one of our favorite parts of wedding days, finding that perfect spot to highlight the gorgeous and unique wedding rings!  Last week I came across a magazine looking for macro images, so I submitted one of my favorites just to see what happens, and it was chosen!

What a wonderful ride our graphic design and photography journey has been! Thank you all for you continued support and amazing designs and sessions, we look forward to our 2021 season and capturing and creating for you!

As we kick off 2023 and begin to plan our sessions and graphics projects, we wanted to take a moment to share with you that in early December of 2022 we submitted two images for possible publication into two different themes and little did we know that both of them would be chosen!  We submit images to learn and grow, to see the other beautiful images submitted in those fields, and to see how far we have come.  You will notice we often say “we” when describing things in our business, small businesses are truly a family affair and take not only the person behind the camera or at the computer designing, but everyone; there is no way that this business would be successful if it wasn’t for our family and out absolutely amazing clients!

This photo of Jake was taken our our local high school on the football field just as the sun was beginning to set.  This has always been a favorite of ours and we are thrilled to have this image chosen in Color Shot Magazine’s Open Theme!

The Quinones Family never disappoints when we get together!  We had a beautiful day for their session, warm sunshine and sweet flowers that took their session to a stunning level.  We are so honored to have had this imaged chosen in Color Shot Magazine’s Light and Airy Theme!
