Summer is here and it’s bridal shower season!   And what’s more beautiful than water color bridal shower invitations?!  Water colors have a soft, elegant feel that you can’t help but share with those around you!  The Held Family holds a special place in my heart and I have been so honored to work with them in the past and was excited to help bring these invitations together for their daughter Dailyn’s bridal shower!  I’m sure it was a gorgeous day for a beautiful bride-to-be, Congrats Dailyn & Logan!

Yesterday was a warm, muggy, and off and on rainy one here in Ohio, but I got to spend the clear afternoon with the Kauffman Family!  They are such a sweet family with huge hearts, a strong faith, and unending kindness!  Trina was diagnosed with Leukemia this year, but is standing strong with determination and strength!  We had planned to do family pictures early this year, but with her diagnosis it just wasn’t the right time, but this last weekend was perfect, great weather, conversations, stories, and the smell of food wafting through the air!  It was wonderful to incorporate some of the ideas that the family had for poses as well!  Thank you Kauffman Family for a wonderful afternoon, stay strong Trina, and hopefully we can all get together again soon!

What a beautiful day it was last Saturday for a wedding!  I was once again honored to be asked to shoot alongside fellow photographer and friend Lauren Beers at this beautiful couple’s wedding!  From detail shots and the ceremony at the church, heading across the street and uptown, and then out to a home in the country, we ended up at their reception for a night of good food and dancing!  I love getting to share my talents with fellow photographers and learn from them at the same time; community over competition, building each other up, and providing a couple with even more shots from their special day!  Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Long!

As we near the middle of summer, couples with fall weddings are in full planning mode!  I was excited to get a message from Kylie to help her create her custom wedding invitations!  Skyler & Kylie are planning a beautiful ceremony and reception at the gorgeous Armory & Events Center in Napoleon, Ohio this coming October!  Kylie wanted to incorporate an elegant look with a flower from her bouquet, tiger lilies, one of my personal favorite flowers!  I love how the colors come together and and tie not only the text together, but the tiger lily as well!  Congrats Skyler & Kylie!

This family radiates love.  In every action, word, and general kindness!  Once you graduate high school it’s easy to lose contact with classmates as you go in your own directions and start your own families.  Last Sunday I had the absolute honor of capturing a classmate of mine and her family!  Meeting her sweet husband and adorable daughter was so much fun; not only did we catch up, but made plans to get together in the future when they are in the area!  Our husbands hit it off and I can’t wait for our little guy to meet their daughter for play dates!  From old brick buildings downtown, to golden wheat fields and old red barns, what better time to pull out the vintage couch and explore!  I’m so excited for them with the arrival of their next little one just a few short months away, Jazmine looks so beautiful, the pictures just don’t do her justice!  Ale definitely keeps them on their toes, but couldn’t be cuter; Jose you are one lucky man!  Congrats Lopez family and we can’t wait to get together again!

Summer has quickly arrived in Ohio!  Last weekend we braved the hot and muggy weather for a beautiful evening with Justin & Ashley for their maternity session!  A gorgeous couple with a house divided, Mama loves John Deere and Daddy loves Case IH!  They were looking for an evening of fun, simplicity, and country!  And a few cows thrown in!  They don’t know the gender of their little one, but that’s one of the best surprises, and no matter what it is, it is already very loved!  Congrats Justin & Ashley, can’t wait to see that little one!

Last weekend was a beautiful spring day for this handsome little man’s 1 Year pictures & cake smash!  His cake even matched his gorgeous blue eyes!  He had just woken up from a nap in his car seat so we started out playing at the park and then just as we were getting ready for his cake I caught him watching me and was able to capture his perfect, bright blue eyes!  As soon as he saw the cake, his little fingers went right to it and the yummy goodness right into his belly!  After a knee in the cake and some grass in his fingers and hair, Carter decided he had had enough and it was time to clean up!  A big thank you to Carter and his family for a fun afternoon and a Happy Birthday Carter!

Last weekend I was honored to be able to shoot along side fellow photographer & friend Lauren Beers!  We headed out to Nazareth Hall in Grand Rapids, OH for the beautiful wedding of Kelsey & Sean!  Despite the day’s previous rain and moving their ceremony inside, the day was sunny & gorgeous for some outdoor photos and what a beautiful venue inside!  From their energetic bridal party and two handsome little boys, to great family and friends, a wonderful time was had by all.  Congrats Kelsey & Sean!

| Skye Cinema Family Film Festival 2017 |

Technology has changed so many different things over the years, not only cameras and phones, but the movies we watch as well!  Who remembers watching those old school Disney VHS tapes?!  The capabilities that movie creators have these days in unbelievable!  I was thrilled when a local movie theater asked me to create their Free Family Film Festive posters!  They offer several days during the summer months were families can get together and watch movies in their theater for FREE!  How amazing is it that they are giving back to their community in this way!?  It was so fun to bring the characters from each of these movies into one layout to create a fun and exciting atmosphere!  If you head out to Skye Cinema on one of these days, make sure to thank and support the sponsors listed, without their help, this wonderful event wouldn’t be possible for local families!  Thank you Skye Cinema for creating such a wonderful family event!

This last summer we headed out in the warm morning heat to capture Ryan’s senior pictures!  From wheat fields to dairy farms and bale wagons to silos, we got so many great images!  I can’t believe we are already creating his graduation invitations and that graduation is just around the corner.  It’s fun to see which images seniors and their families choose to showcase on their invites; and even more fun to see which throwback ones they like to add!  What a cute little farmer he was!  Congrats and Best of Luck Ryan!
