Many things have changed since we last captured the Hoffman Family a few years ago, including two new family members, a new pup, and a few more cows! I spent a warm Sunday morning with this energetic family as we played with kittens and got a few licks from the cows! Farm families fill our small town and the surrounding areas, and being a farm kid as well, getting to capture and include that into a family’s session makes it even more special. Especially when you can see the excitement of getting to see those gorgeous Holsteins in the kids’ eyes! I was, and still am, one of those kids that will walk through the barn in flip flops without blinking an eye, so heading into their barn for a shot with the cows was perfect! It’s always a pleasure and an honor to spend time with this wonderful family!

Awaiting the arrival of a little one is exciting and full of anticipation for everyone! Some mom’s have a theme for their little one that they carry through from the baby shower, to the nursery, to their first birthday. A wonderful friend of our family came to me looking for shower invitations that had a woodsy boy theme and after collaborating a bit we created the perfect layout! In just a couple short months this little one will be arriving, Congrats Zach, Kayla, & Zoey!

Once again this year I have been lucky enough to work with the wonderful staff and students at of the AHS Marching Band! As an alumni it has been a great pleasure to be able to give back to a school and program that I was a part of! It was a warm picture night and start to the football and marching band seasons, but everyone looked great and it was a great halftime show. Best of luck this year to the AHS Marching Band!

Babies grow so quickly that when it comes time to plan that first birthday, you want everything to be just right! I love creating custom invites, and 1st birthday ones might just be my favorite! Little ones only turn 1 once! This little guy will be turning 1 in September and by the looks of his invitation, he’s going to have a wild time! Happy 1st birthday Conley!

It’s been a pleasure to watch these beautiful girls grow! Their personalities are so sweet and big sister loves showing little sister how to read their favorite book! A warm Saturday morning was spent with them and their mom and dad as we captured them just being them! A casual and relaxed session of catching up and sharing parenting stories! I always look forward to seeing them and can’t wait until our next session to see how much they have changed from this one!

What a gorgeous, warm day we had last Saturday for April & Tyler’s wedding! I met the ladies as they were getting ready, then it was off to the church for pictures before the ceremony. They chose to not see one another before hand, so the bridal party had the challenge of keeping the halls clear when changing groups for pictures! Following the ceremony and their ride in the limo, it was family pictures before heading downtown to brave the heat for some great locations! The bridal party was wonderful in helping one another with dresses and jackets, flowers and staying hydrated! April & Tyler, what a wonderful journey it has been, from save the dates and invites, to engagements and your wedding, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day, it has been my pleasure! Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Johnson!!!

Meet Addison Renee! This gorgeous girl made her appearance just a few weeks early, healthy and happy! She is the daughter of my cousin Rachel and her husband Drew, and affectionately referred to as our niece! Growing up together, we thought it appropriate when our little guy was born, that Rachel & Drew would be his aunt and uncle, and now our little one has a new little cousin! She is perfect in every way, such tiny features, looks like her mommy and has a reddish cast to her hair like her daddy. It was a great day of pictures, snuggles, and catching up! I can’t wait to watch her and our little one grow up together, play in the haymow, drive the tractors, and make summer sausage together! Welcome to the family Addison Renee! ❤

Summer is almost half over, many are beginning to think of the upcoming fall activities, and some are mid wedding planning! I got to spend a warm, country, Saturday evening with these love birds and it’s evident that their Oct. 1 wedding is going to be wonderful! We did their invites several weeks ago, engagements are now in the books, and next up is the big day! I can’t wait to capture it for them!

Summer is well underway and July in our area means fields of golden wheat ready for combining; but not before heading out with upcoming AHS senior Ryan! From family tractors and trucks, to cows and silos, we had a great morning with cool, comfortable weather! Best of luck this coming fall Ryan!
