Some of you may remember Alexis from her newborn and six months sessions! She has grown so much and is on the move!  No sitting still for very long for this cutie! I love how poses can lead to lifestyle in the blink of an eye and we can capture little ones in their element!  This little ham absolutely loves the camera, cheesing it up quicker than I could hit the shutter button!  And those pearls, her mama had brought those for her six months session and she loved them then, I think she may just love them even more now; we had a vintage looking retro baby, and she was just gorgeous in her little pink chair!  From rockin’ the shades to lovin’ the bubbles and waving to herself in the mirror, Happy Birthday Alexis!

The Wiesehan Family decided to get a jump start on their Christmas planning!  What an excellent idea to get their Christmas cards done now and check them off their holiday to-do list!  Just after finishing their session and receiving their print, they were ready to put a custom holiday card together!  It’s wonderful to get to combine the photos from a session and then create graphics per the client’s ideas and specifications.  Who doesn’t love receiving a custom card during the holidays!  So full of warmth and love, what a great design for a wonderful family!

Brent & Christy are getting married this fall and I have the honor of getting to capture their special day!  We spent a buggy bit in the woods while dodging some rain drops!  Luckily the rain held off until we were done!  I always love when a couple starts out a bit shy and by the end of the session, they are ready and geared up to try anything.  Christy had been researching and scouting locations and found some great poses that she wanted to try for the two of them, it’s always fun to build a session around a couple’s idea and help bring their thoughts to life!  Thanks for a great afternoon, can’t wait for October!

Meet little Allie!  She will be turning one in just a few short days and couldn’t get any cuter!  That gorgeous smile got so big when her Daddy came outside with us!  She was ready to take off walking with her Mommy’s hands for balance and loved swinging!  We heard lots of “ruff,” “uh oh,” and “da da” through the session, such a happy girl!  This weekend she gets to celebrate turning the big 1 with her family!  Happy Birthday Allie Gator!

It’s so much fun getting to work with a classmate and create something unique that embodies what their child loves with their whole heart!  It was such fun working with my classmate to create these great softball t’s for her daughter’s softball team!  She came to me with an idea and after sitting down together, bouncing some ideas off of each other, we came up with this final design!  The girls are sure to look sharp taking the field with this great look, good luck ladies!

I got to spend a warm Saturday afternoon with a family that I hadn’t seen in what seems like years!  I had the honor of growing up in church with the kids and it was wonderful to see them and their families!  We shot at the always gorgeous Lockport Bridge on a day that the weather cooperated and the sun was shining!  The kids were adorable and handsome and were great all day!  Thank You all for a wonderful day and getting to catch up!

Another wonderful project for the Henry County 4-H Program!  In our county as I was growing up it was common to get together at fair with members from all of the clubs, it was a friendship that would start young and has lasted into adulthood!  Even today you see it with the young members, growing together with other club members and learning from one another.  Henry County has been very blessed with a fantastic educator whom has taken the program leaps and bounds and above and beyond and allowed the individual clubs to keep that individuality while encouraging growth, new experiences, and learning.  Along with many of the other clubs in our county, Gerald Busy Fingers has been around for a long time and with the hard work of all of it’s members, it’s sure to be around for many more years to come!

Each year brings fun new designs and projects, but I one group holds a very special place in my heart, our county 4-H program!  The t’s we do vary from year to year, but without fail the counselors pick fun and unique themes!  This year’s Cloverbud camp will be full of superheros and fun, sure to be a great time had by both counselors and campers!  Be sure to check out your local Cloverbud program and enroll your kids today in a wonderful learning program!

Recently you saw Paige & Saul’s Save the Dates & Wedding Invites up on the blog, today you see their programs.  These were so much fun to put together!  8×5″x11″ card stock folded in half for a four sided program gave plenty of room for everything they wanted to include about their special day.  The graphic pictures doesn’t do the final product justice as they turned out absolutely gorgeous!  We get to celebrate their wedding this weekend and a beautiful day I’m sure it will be!  Congrats Paige & Saul!

I’ve known this gorgeous girl’s Mom and Dad for a long time and was thrilled to get to put her 1st Birthday invitations together!  True to her roots, this little one is a John Deere loving farm girl!  Can’t wait to watch her grow and get those little piggies out in the show ring!  Happy 1st Birthday Allie!
