Josiah Back To School

I love it when I get to meet new people from my small Northwest Ohio area!  Tonight I met with 12 year old Josiah and his mom Dorothy at Sauder Village’s Campground for his 2014 back to school session, I hadn’t yet explored this part of the Village but very glad Dorothy suggested it.  The golden hour was perfect for a fall look that highlighted this young man’s smile and composure in front of the camera!  I had a very hard time deciding on which sneak peaks to put up, each image that I went through had a uniqueness all it’s own!  Best of luck this year Josiah!

Reese & Ava Back To School

I spent part of my evening last night with these two great kids!  I met their mom through a place we both used to work and when she contacted me to take the kids back to school pics I was thrilled!  I love it when I get to work with friends and it’s always great to see how much their kids have grown in such a short time!  Reese is well into his golf season and has a swing that I wouldn’t want to be the golf ball he hits, lol.  Ava is full of great ideas and was ready to put her touch on every pose and area that we found.  It’s great when I can include the kids ideas into their session, it makes it so much more personal to them and their families.  No more boring back to school pics in front of the blue background, it’s time to get out there and enjoy the great fall weather!  Good luck Reese & Ava this academic year!

Steffel Save the Dates

I’ve been lucky to be a contact for some local wedding decoration and service providers in my area and they have graciously sent their brides my way for their wedding invite needs!  I met Sarah and Christopher a while back, we sat down, went over their thoughts for invites and save the dates, they shared some examples that they found online that they liked, and I went back and put together a couple design layouts.  They chose what suited them best and we tweaked from there!  Here are their Save the Date cards, invites are still in the works, so stay tuned!

Ty Henry

Meet little Mr. Ty Henry!  3 Weeks old and already has an adorable personality!  He has a very proud big sister and a big brother who loves him to pieces.  Check out his little cowboy boot and big brother’s cowboy hat, all with his Daddy’s tailgate from his first truck in the background!  He loved to be snuggled in and wrapped tight for the first set and then decided he was going to wiggle those arms out for his second one!  For those whom know his Daddy, they know he has a tradition with “Dueling Banjos” and it looks like Ty is already practicing so he can join his Daddy out on the dance floor!  His arms were moving and ready for action!  I was honored to spend a wonderful afternoon with a sweet family capturing this little cutie.  Thank you Henry’s for a great day!

Lauber Wedding Invitations

I was exhibiting at a show this summer when I realized the vendor across from me looked very familiar, I asked her if she knew who I was, and immediately I got the response “You look like your mom!”  We talked the rest of the day and the following one and found out her son was getting married this coming fall and they needed a photographer and someone to do invites.  I was their one stop shop!  It’s been a wonderful experience working with the Lauber family and helping to bring this event to life!  Can’t wait to photograph their wedding at the end of this month!

Grooms Back to School Session

It’s that time of year again and the kids have headed back to school.  That means time for back to school pics!  I was lucky enough to work with the Grooms family last summer and was so thrilled when they contacted me again this year!  They are so much fun, the kids personalities are evident in every picture!  I love the conversations I get to have with each of them, the quiteness of Mason, the boldness of Olivia, and the flair of Addi!  Can’t wait to get them in front of my camera again!

Brokstyn Burtch

Meet Brokstyn!  This two year old is a ball full of energy!  I don’t think he sat still for more than 30 seconds, unless the cookies were in his hands, during the whole session!  He is constantly on the move, has no fear, talking up a storm, and like his shirt says, he’s irresistible!  Best of all he’s my little cousin!  Had such a blast with him and can’t wait to share his images with his family!  Happy Birthday Mr. Man!

I always enjoy getting to do a logo design for a new company that wants to go full force, no holds barred!  This project was brought to me by a friend whom I work closely with on different things.  The client wanted something country, a little intimidating, but showed that they were serious about their business of transporting livestock.  After only a few edits the final design was nailed!  They chose a left crest for the front to be embroidered and also a full back to be screen printed with metallic (represented by gray), blue, and red inks on black ts.  A few halftones thrown in there for depth and detail and the final design took shape!  Enjoy!
