Fall is finally here and the weather has been beautiful! While this year has been unusual to say the least, it has been refreshing to see so many familiar faces! Two years ago I met Alicia and Matt for their maternity session, they were complete strangers to me then, but today, they are wonderful friends whom I love catching up with! They recently moved to the Cleveland area, but I was so excited to meet up with them while they were here visiting family. Warren has grown so much and has such an adorable personality and a love for dinosaurs that you can see we had his dad use to help get him to smile! We picked up right where we left off and it was so refreshing to see them, laugh, and smiles together. Thank you Zirkes Family for an amazing evening, can’t wait for our next session!

Quinones Family 2020 |

As summer is winding down and we start getting ready for hoodies, pumpkins, and fall colors, there is still so much summer beauty around us! I met up with the Quinones Family at a local woods where we found gorgeous greens and sweet little yellow flowers! It’s been a few years since we captured this adorable family and they did not disappoint! Mila helped me to pose her mom and dad and even got some fabulous smiles from them; we even caught a natural sun flare! It’s been an honor to watch this sweet family grow since photographing Mila as a newborn; thank you Pops, Jo, and Mila for a wonderful evening!

Kind hearted, genuine, and funny, these are just three of the words to describe this handsome guy! It has been such an honor to capture him over the years and watch him grow, I am officially looking up at him these days! Trey is a natural in front of the camera and we are constantly laughing during his sessions. I can’t wait to hear about all of the amazing things he accomplishes this school year!

Each year I look forward to this young man’s session! He grows so much in just one year and this year he is quickly catching up to me! Brok never ceases to amaze us with his antics at a session, from jumping into the unknown grasses to amazing us with his genuine smile and that laugh, you never know what’s around the corner. He’s sure to have a wonderful year at school, have a blast Brok!

Putting together custom Christmas cards for clients with images from their sessions is so much fun! Creating a look that represents them and their family makes the cards even more special. Some cards are packed full of information and family updates, but the Gillengerten’s decided to keep things crisp and clean this year with a simple look and they are stunning! I’m sure these two sided card stock Christmas cards were enjoyed by family and friends and something that can be left up all year long! Hoping the Gillengerten Family had a wonderful holiday season!

Though the Holiday Season has quickly come and gone, this time of year can still brings colder weather to our area, snow, sleet, rain, freezing, fog, and the occasional day of temperatures in the 60s! It’s not only an honor to capture such special moments in clients lives, but to be able to create a custom look for them to share with family and friends during the Holidays means so much! This last fall we met up at an old barn for the Wheeler session and were able to capture so many sweet moments of Mo and her mom and dad. Their custom cards this year included a touch of pine, berries, and the classic Happy Holidays in the rich burgundy that they wore for their session with their sweet Mo as the focus! She has grown so much since last year’s sessions and layout, I can’t wait to see how she changes next year! Hoping the Wheeler Family had a wonderful holiday!

The Gerdemans! I’m not sure if they could get any more adorable! After a downpour changed our original plan for their fall session we were able to quickly find a new one and captured so many beautiful images! Kristi sent me some great ideas for their Christmas cards and I was able to combine her ideas into one beautiful layout that fit their family and style perfectly! Nothing beats being able to share your favorite image from your session on a custom, one of a kind Christmas card that you helped to create! I love working with this sweet family and can’t wait to get them in front of my camera again and create another amazing Christmas card for them! What a wonderful way to wrap up the 2019 photo season! The Gillengerten Family’s session was on point, check out the amazing decorations at their home! From their warm, festive fire place to mom and dad’s perfect Christmas bedroom, there wasn’t an inch of their home that wasn’t ready for the Holiday Season! Everyone was warm and cozy in their matching pajamas, all ready for Christmas morning with their hot chocolate and candy canes in hand in front of the tree! Their sweet kiddos did amazing and had the most hilarious faces when we did goofy pictures, you couldn’t help but smile, their laughter was contagious. Thank you Gillengerten Family for a wonderful afternoon, wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Just as we were getting ready for the Gerdeman Family’s session, it decided to downpour! With some quick thinking, fast moving, and a beautifully fall dressed family, we headed out to look for a new spot! We happened to pass a gorgeous wooded area close enough to the road that we could stay out of the mud, but far enough from the road that we would be safe. With no idea whom the homeowners were, we pulled up and they graciously gave us the go ahead to use their property! Despite our slight set back, the Gerdeman Family was on point all evening! With adorable smiles from their kiddos, to the sweet laughs mom and dad were able to get out of them, it was a wonderful session! Thank you Gerdeman Family for a wonderful evening and the flexibility to find a brand new spot all with out warning!

How absolutely stunning is this girl!? Each year I wonder if Graicen will top her session from the previous year, and the answer every year is yes! Trying to narrow down sneaks and not show the hundreds that we took was no easy feat! No matter where we go or what we do, what season it is, or what the weather is doing, she knocks her sessions out of the park! This year we headed out to the woods and fields, trying to catch the last of the color on the trees before it fell with the upcoming weather! We had amazing light as golden hour approached and golden hour itself didn’t disappoint. I had a wonderful lighting assistant in her younger brother Trey, you saw his session a few weeks ago, who was on point all night, we couldn’t have done it without him! Next year is Graicen’s senior year, she has big plans already for what she wants to do, I can’t wait to pull her visions together! Have a great Junior Year Graicen!
