| Ridge Kids 4-H Club

One of my favorite things to do is create designs for organizations that hold a special place in my heart and that I get to be a part of!  It’s been a few years since our 4-H club did t-shirts, so we decided that with so many new members, it was time for an updated look!  We went with a simple, yet unique look this year, using halftones in the background to help give it a dimensional look and help to make our club name stand out.  Adding in hoodies and long sleeve t’s, families could gear up for the 4-H year and fair, which starts next week already!  Thanks to everyone, parents, members, and my fellow advisers for a wonderful year so far!  Congrats to everyone on judging in July and good luck to those exhibiting livestock at the fair!

Last weekend I was honored to be able to shoot along side fellow photographer & friend Lauren Beers!  We headed out to Nazareth Hall in Grand Rapids, OH for the beautiful wedding of Kelsey & Sean!  Despite the day’s previous rain and moving their ceremony inside, the day was sunny & gorgeous for some outdoor photos and what a beautiful venue inside!  From their energetic bridal party and two handsome little boys, to great family and friends, a wonderful time was had by all.  Congrats Kelsey & Sean!

In our area we have many great school systems, we are also lucky enough to have a great group of home schoolers in the J.O.Y. Homeschool Co-Op!  In just a few short weeks these students will be taking to the stage for their production of Willy Wonka Jr.!  Having been a part of high school musicals, I know how much fun it is to see that final production on stage; the studying of lines, the set decorations, and dedication will all pay off for them on April 7 & 8!  Thank you for allowing me to play a small part in your production!  If you are in the area and looking for a some Friday or Saturday evening fun, check out Willy Wonka Jr.!

This little beauty started off our year last year with her newborn session and she is kicking off 2017 with her one year session!  It’s amazing how much little ones change in just twelve months!  She has such a sweet personality, quite, and talkative all rolled into one.  She climbed right into a small crate we had sitting off to the side and we instantly new that was something she was ready to pose in!  The pearl necklaces have become a family tradition, using them with big sister Alexis’ newborn and one year sessions as well.  We had a great time with this cutie, love her smile and those gorgeous blue eyes!  Happy 1st Birthday Emma!

This last November marked five years since I founded SSRM Designs & Photography!  I would like to take a moment to thank everyone that I have gotten the chance to work with, from photo sessions and weddings to invitations, graphics, and logo design, what a fun and wonderful journey it has been!  With this exciting milestone has also come a new logo!  After several months of brainstorming and designing in between client projects, I am proud to reveal the new look of SSRM!

While the above will be the main logo, you will also see the following throughout.  The first one you will notice as the new watermark logo, the second will appear more on graphic design projects along with the main logo, and the third on the web and in documents, such as the print & product guide and pricing guide.

This new year will also bring some fun new changes to SSRM!  Offering more with each new session, more fun print products to chose from, a themed mini session in the fall, and even more great promotional items and garments for you to chose from!

2017 Photo Session and Wedding Bookings are currently underway and graphics projects of all kinds are welcome any time!  Thank you all again for a wonderful five years, here’s to the next five!

Look at these adorable grinning little faces!  I can’t believe how big Luke & Micah have gotten since I last saw them!  We had such a nice day for their session and the added touch of snowflakes to their Christmas cards makes them look even more adorable!  I’m sure that everyone receiving a card from them will no doubt have a huge smile as they tack it up onto their bulletin board or refrigerator to enjoy for the Holidays!  I know as I created these I couldn’t help but smile each time, it’s contagious!  Happy Holidays Helberg Family!

Summer is almost half over, many are beginning to think of the upcoming fall activities, and some are mid wedding planning!  I got to spend a warm, country, Saturday evening with these love birds and it’s evident that their Oct. 1 wedding is going to be wonderful!  We did their invites several weeks ago, engagements are now in the books, and next up is the big day!  I can’t wait to capture it for them!

This next month my home town is celebrating 175 years!  Our small town has changed and grown so much over the years and it’s wonderful to see all that will be going on to celebrate!  With many activities planned for everyone of all ages, from a 5K and sand volleyball, to an antique tractor show, music, movies for the kids, and lots of food!  Come on out and help us celebrate!

I spent a wonderful Friday evening with this gorgeous 2017 Senior!  Miss Hannah was so much fun to be with, we started at an old brick library, out to an old bridge, and ended at a popular dam, all on a hot muggy evening!  She was full of wonderful ideas that she wanted to try, no matter the obstacle, some dramatic flair, and lots of laughs!  Her senior year will soon be here, then it’s off to college!  Best of luck in the coming year, Hannah!
