The hot, humid temperatures of July have arrived and we were honored to spend a very warm Saturday just outside our small town capturing Josh & Paige’s special day at their farm! From the smell of alfalfa and the gorgeous sunflowers, to the basketball hoop and corn hole for the kids, no small detail was left unturned by Josh & Paige. They were married under a beautiful shade tree and hand crafted arbor, surrounded by family, friends, and neighbors. A true Ridgeville wedding filled with good music, cold drinks, ice cream for all, and lots of love. What a beautiful day for an amazing couple, thank you for inviting us to celebrate with you, congratulations Josh & Paige!

| Short Family 2023 |

Last weekend we got to spend time with one of our favorite groups of people, the Short Family!  We have gotten to watch their girls grow over the years, capturing senior sessions, families, and a gorgeous wedding, we couldn’t ask for a more fun family full of love, antics, and lots of smiles.  We met at the always pretty Opdycke Park and it was adorned with the beautiful spring greens and wonderful weather.  It’s hard to believe that their youngest will be a senior this coming fall, but we are looking forward to what will be another outstanding session.  Thank you Short Family for the many years of smiles and love you have shown us, we can’t wait for this fall!

| Kalleigh Fry AHS Senior 2022 |

The cool air has arrived, harvest is well underway, and the trees have finally started to turn the beautiful fall colors of oranges, yellows, and reds.  We had the pleasure of spending last Saturday evening with Kalleigh, an AHS Class of 2022 Senior.  Our first stop was the Henry County Fairgrounds, a place that holds so many memories for our family, a yearly tradition, and our happy place.  Not only do we love it, but Kalleigh does too and it was so much fun capturing her here, walking around the empty fairgrounds, and just being in one of our favorite places.  From her years in 4-H & FFA to Jr. Fairboard, Kalleigh has shined on the jr. fair stage, and it showed in her happiness as we found fantastic photo places.  After finishing here we hopped into the car and head to an old orchard where we found beautiful grasses, trees, and just a little mud.  We had gorgeous light that evening and she looked amazing, thank you Kalleigh for a wonderful fall evening, best of luck in your senior year!

| Rohrs Family 2020 |

November has been unusually warm and we are all taking full advantage of it!  The color has almost completely disappeared from the trees, the crops are harvested, and Thanksgiving is just around the corner!  Last weekend I had the pleasure of capturing the Rohrs Family, a family that is very dear to our hearts because they are also part of our family.  We headed to their family farm to use their gorgeous red barns and then headed out to their woods to find some color and even see where Tyler dropped his first deer from his tree stand that you see in their sneaks!  Growing up just down the road form one another, enjoying horse rides, farming, and even polka dances together, we love spending time with them all; Luke, Heather, Tyler, and Abbi all played a part in our wedding, we enjoy hearing Luke play and sing in the family polka band, and he is my favorite polka dance partner!  They all have hearts of gold and love our kids like their own, they’ll do anything for you, and I couldn’t have been more excited when they asked to do a family session this fall.  Even though we didn’t have much of a sunset to end the evening, we still captured a wonderful silhouette with the farm behind them; Thank You Rohrs Family for a wonderful evening!

Senior year is a busy time for today’s seniors, so many activities, ball games, programs, college visits, and job opportunities!  Within the hustle and bustle are also many lasts; the last first day of school, the last first game, the last first club meeting, and even that last exam.  I had the honor of spending last Sunday with Pettisville High School Senior Tyler and his family and what a beautiful day we had!  The rain held off, we had sunshine, clouds, and wonderful locations.  We started off at Franker Mill Bridge, then to the school, and our last stop was the always wonderful Sauder Village!  We took advantage of the many great buildings and even ventured into their newest addition, The 1920’s!  We were able to capture so many wonderful images of Tyler, it was no easy task to find just a few sneaks!  Thank you Tyler and Family for a wonderful Sunday afternoon, best of luck this year and in the coming fall!

| Ethan & Katie Wedding Invitations |

These two love birds tied the knot last weekend!  Katie & Ethan have been dating for a long time, they have been seen sitting in the beef barn at our local fair for years, watching tractor pulls, and going for tractor rides for so long you’d think they were already married!  However, just last year Ethan asked Katie to marry him and she said yes!   I was thrilled when Katie asked me to help her create the perfect wedding invitation for her and Ethan!  Creating custom art for friends and family will always hold a special place in my heart as I’m sure it does for any designer.  We brainstormed, edited, tweaked, and collaborated, coming up with the design that represented their big day!  From the wedding in Katie’s family machine shed, to the reception at our local American Legion, I’m sure that Katie and Ethan’s day was wonderful!  Congrats you two!

Hints of spring color are popping up, the grass is greening, and the trees are finally budding!  Though finding that beautiful spring green color is still tough around here, we had a great Saturday evening for Eric’s senior session!  We started at his home with their gorgeous barns and his adorable pup and then headed out in his VW Cabriolet for some fun!  He took us to a gorgeous secluded spot with amazing grasses, paths, and trees, add in that gorgeous golden light, and we had a perfect evening!  Eric is a such a sweet young man with a great smile that makes everyone around him smile too!  Congratulations Eric and best of luck after graduation!

| Beaverson Back To School 2018 |

It’s been a few years since the Beaverson’s have been in front of the camera, but you would never have known, it was just like it had been yesterday!  A few weeks ago you saw their brother Hunter’s senior session, but last Sunday morning it was their turn!  We headed to a local barn with gorgeous grass and a beautiful fall light all around us!  As the fields are emptying and the colors changing, we bundle up just a bit more and smiled and laughed to keep us warm!  It’s been a beautiful fall and so many more wonderful sessions still to come, but what a wonderful session with great kids, thank you all for a great start to a fall morning!
