For Brok’s back-to-school photo session, we headed to Defiance College, one of our local college campuses. That morning, we woke up to a light snowfall — an unexpected surprise that turned the day into something extra special. Instead of postponing, we bundled up and made the most of it!

Even with the chill in the air, the session was full of laughter and energy. The beautiful campus provided a wonderful mix of indoor and outdoor backdrops — from the cozy hallways inside to the open walkways dusted with snow outside. The snow added a soft, storybook feel that perfectly matched the excitement of a new school year.

Brok has grown so much since last year’s session — it’s hard to believe he’s officially taller than me now! It’s always such a joy to see returning families and to capture these milestones as kids grow and change year after year. Despite the cold, he brought his usual confidence and charm to every shot, making this session one to remember!

We kicked things off last weekend with the beautiful Kenzie and her senior session at a local dam, where the water, natural textures, and soft light gave us the perfect setting for more relaxed, earthy shots. From the very first frame—her smile, her confidence, and her calm energy made it easy to capture her just being her. The surrounding nature gave a timeless feel to the portraits—perfect for marking such an important milestone.

After the dam, we headed downtown to switch things up with an urban vibe. The mix of bridges, old buildings, and city textures offered so much variety in tone and backdrop. Kenzie rocked every look and they all showcased her style and individuality.

Kenzie, thank you (and your family!) for letting us be part of this moment in your journey. We can’t wait to see where your next chapter takes you!

It was a warm summer afternoon, with sun, clouds, and then sun again, as we captured Chris & Beth tie the not last weekend in a quaint backyard ceremony with close family and friends!  Smiles and laughter rang out after the ceremony as their guests got to enjoy many fun board games.  Once family photos wrapped up, everyone enjoyed a delicious meal and continued their games and wonderful conversations.  Every couple we capture is special to us, but none so much as those we have known for many years!  We couldn’t be happier for Chris and Beth as they embark on their new life together, congratulations you two!

Love and Laughter were in the air last Saturday as we headed out to Independence Dam to capture Chris & Beth’s engagement!  With unusually warm weather for October and lots of great color, it was the perfect backdrop for their session.  Having known Beth for quite some time, it was wonderful to meet Chris and see the smile that he brought to her and the light that shown in her eyes.  It was great to catch up and find unique spots and some breathtaking views of fall beauty across the Maumee River.  Congratulations Chris & Beth, thank you both for a wonderful evening!

We always enjoy our senior sessions, capturing their likes and personalities; after several years in front of our cameras for his back to school sessions, it was his turn on Saturday for his senior session!  We will miss capturing Trey each year, his witty comments, handsome smile, and that perfect serious face.   He has grown so much since our very first session, I now have to look up to him!  Such a gentle and kind young man who we know will do great things.  Thank you for a fun evening Trey, best of luck with the rest of your senior year!

The rain may have forced us to cancel Brok’s session back in September, but it didn’t put a damper on our session last Saturday.  Brok brought his A Game and we were able to capture so many great moments, his laugh is infectious and you can’t help but smile when he does.; he even found some of our spots for us and they worked perfectly.  Show this young man some love!

A rainy Saturday morning cleared off just in time for a beautiful, cool afternoon session with one of our favorites, the Burtch Family!  It’s been a couple years since we did updated photos of the whole family, and with one off to college and another not far behind, it’s never easy to coordinate everyone’s schedules.  We luckily found a date that worked for everyone and made the most of our afternoon before evening football games kicked off.  While walking around we found perfect spots at Pontiac Park and were even able to enjoy the music of rib fest playing in the background of downtown.  Family sessions allow for so many different combinations of groupings; from parents and kids, to just the kids, individuals of the kids, a recreation of a photo done each session, and anything else we can come up with!  Thank you Burtch Family for a wonderful afternoon!!!

This winter we have had more snow than in previous years and the fields around us have looked so nice with their blanket of white!  Graicen had mentioned wanting to do a snow session for part of her senior photos and we were lucky to have a beautiful weekend of snow, sunshine, and mild temperatures; so we headed out to the woods for some fun in the freshly fallen powder!  She once again rocked her session, there is nothing we can’t do that she doesn’t make look amazing.  Thank you Graicen for the honor of capturing your senior year, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!

Senior sessions are some of my favorites.  Every senior brings an individuality to their session in their locations, outfits, and props.  We started planning Graicen’s senior session last fall and she knew that she wanted to do some in each season; what a great idea to capture your senior year as the seasons change!  Last Friday we got together for her summer session and had a wonderful time finding unique spots at the local reservoir. Kind hearted, genuine, and funny, these are just three of the words to describe this handsome guy!  It has been such an honor to capture him over the years and watch him grow, I am officially looking up at him these days!  Trey is a natural in front of the camera and we are constantly laughing during his sessions.  I can’t wait to hear about all of the amazing things he accomplishes this school year!
