The Wheeler Family, so sweet, kind, funny, and generous!  I love them!  I have had the pleasure of watching Noah and Christine in their dating years, celebrating their wedding, capturing their maternity, meeting little Miss Mo at just six days old for her newborn session, and watching them become amazing parents.  There is so much love in their eyes and emotions when they look their sweet girl and she gives it right back, in every dance move she gives them!  Their yearly family session is just one of the many that I look forward to, seeing how they have changed and grown, the belly laughs, and the adorable grins from Mo.  We had a beautiful, cool, and slightly blustery fall morning for their session, but Noah found a creative way to help block that wind and keep Miss Mo smiling!  Our lives are busy with work, family, and daily routines and we don’t get to see each other or talk enough, but it’s so much fun when we do see each other and can pick up where we left off!  Wheeler Family you are amazing, Happy Fall to you all!

This year’s senior’s have chosen some absolutely amazing locations for their sessions, and Hailie, a Monroe Ohio High School 2020 Senior, was no exception last Saturday!  We headed out to a local metropark and were lucky enough to find a small hint of fall color in one of their amazing grassy fields and a few colored leaves filtering the trails and bridges.  Hailie is such a sweet, kind young woman from with a bright future ahead!  She brought lots of great ideas to her session and a fabulous chair!  I love when seniors bring something personal to help customize their session, and this chair was amazing; the perfect amount of unique mixed with personality and style!  We started off at just one of the many great locations in the metropark, then headed to a gorgeous trail, the main hub was next where we found the perfect bridge, and off to finish in the stunning grassy field!  We couldn’t have asked for a better day and great weather for this fantastic senior, thank you Hailie for such a wonderful Saturday evening!  Best of luck this next fall!

| Riah Short AHS Senior 2020 |

Fall colors are still hiding here in Northwest Ohio, but that didn’t stop Riah from bringing beautiful fall color to her senior session last weekend!  This girl is stunning, hilarious, exuberant, smart, and we had an amazing time with her!  It would have been much easier to share her entire session than to choose a few sneak peeks, they are all so beautiful!  To give her session a personal spin, we started in the high school auditorium to showcase her love of music, she’s a fabulous singer and plays two instruments in band; she had such a great idea on how she wanted to pose these shots, so we put our heads together, found the best way to make it happen, and I love how they turned out.  We then headed out to our local nature preserve where the sun snuck behind the clouds at the perfect time and allowed us to use some amazing grassy spots and even the road through the woods!  Riah worked the camera like no other, her smile and laughter were contagious, and we couldn’t have asked for a better Sunday afternoon!  I can’t wait to see where the future takes Riah, thank you all for such a wonderful time, best of luck this next fall!

| German Family 2019 |

Fall was in the air last week, this week we are back in the temperatures of the 80s and 90s, but the leaves are starting to change!  Last weekend I was honored to spend the afternoon with the German Family!  A wonderful extended family session full of adorable families, sweet grand kids, and amazing facial expressions from the little ones.  We met up at Sauder Village, our local living history museum that has amazing places for photos, from weeping willows and grassy places, to an old mill and wonderful old homes!  The kids did great and were thrilled to see the horse and her pony at the end of the session, brought lots of big smiles and laughter from all of them!  We found beautiful sunflowers and enjoyed walking through the Village that we had all to ourselves!  Thank you German Family for a fantastic afternoon!

Fall is quickly approaching, our nights are cooler and our days are getting shorter, summer has come and gone so quickly!  Schools are now back in session and that means senior sessions are in full swing!  Last Friday night I met up with Dana and her sweet family to capture the first part of her senior session!  Dana is one of the field commander’s for the school’s marching band and it was so much fun to head out to the football field to capture that important part of her senior year!  After wrapping up there we headed out to a gorgeous field across the road from her house for some golden hour magic!  Nothing can beat that beautiful light and our night was capped off by a stunning sunset!  Dana brought so many wonderful ideas to her session, we had some great helpers in her brothers, and I had a great time with her!  Best of luck this year Dana, I can’t wait for part two of your session!

I knew the moment that I met Beth, that we were going to have a wonderful family session with her crew!  She had so many wonderful ideas and we were able to combine our thoughts for this amazing outcome!  The Reichert Family is prepping to send their oldest daughter off to Yale in the next few days and before everyone went their separate ways and school starts back up, they wanted to make sure to do an updated family session!  We met at the always gorgeous Sauder Village Campground where the grasses were green, the weather was comfortable, unlike the sweltering heat we had just he week before, and their family was so full of laughter, smiles, and inside jokes that you couldn’t help but smile right along with them!  Thank you Reichert Family for such a wonderful summer evening!

Hints of spring color are popping up, the grass is greening, and the trees are finally budding!  Though finding that beautiful spring green color is still tough around here, we had a great Saturday evening for Eric’s senior session!  We started at his home with their gorgeous barns and his adorable pup and then headed out in his VW Cabriolet for some fun!  He took us to a gorgeous secluded spot with amazing grasses, paths, and trees, add in that gorgeous golden light, and we had a perfect evening!  Eric is a such a sweet young man with a great smile that makes everyone around him smile too!  Congratulations Eric and best of luck after graduation!

This Image.  This Family.  This Session.  The Wheeler Family had an absolutely beautiful day for their session this fall, cool temperatures, amazing golden light, and an adorable little girl!  There isn’t one image from their session that I’m not in love with, picking a favorite is nearly impossible and their session is one of my favorites from this year!
Last week I received a notification that an image from their session was going to be published in Shutter Scene Magazine!  I was speechless, excited, and in awe!  Publication, something photographers dream of, something I have been dreaming of since the first time I picked up my camera so many years ago.  It still feels surreal!

2018 has been an amazing year, from newborns, milestones, families, weddings, pups, and more, things are winding down as we near the Holidays and ready ourselves for the New Year!  Graphics projects are still keeping me busy and it’s been so much fun to create Holiday cards for clients with images from their sessions!  Logo Designs are underway and many more projects are on the books!

A huge thank you to everyone whom has helped me to get to this point, for supporting my leap into the graphic design and photography business to the wonderful and amazing clients I have had the chance to work with!  You have all made this business what it is, an amazing journey that I wouldn’t want to share with anyone else!  Thank You!

Fall color this time of year is hard to find, but last weekend the Lawrence Family found some at 4-H Camp Palmer!  We headed out on a warm fall afternoon and found some beautiful places.  From grassy areas, to fences and beautifully colored trails, there were lots of smiles, laughter, hugs, and even a few bunny ears!  I had such a great time catching up with fellow high school classmates that I haven’t seen in years and hearing about what they are up to and where they are living these days!  After we graduate high school, time flies so fast and it’s easy to lose track of everyone, but it has been a wonderful Thanksgiving this year as I have been able to reconnect and catch up with so many wonderful friends!  Thank you Lawrence Family for a wonderful afternoon, Happy Holidays to all of you!

One of my favorite things is hot chocolate and our weather has been perfect for it!  What a better way to warm up at our Saturday morning session than with yummy hot chocolate and whipped cream!?  I met up with the Crossgrove Family just down from their home and we had a gorgeous morning and the light was perfect for their session!  The sun was peaking up behind the horizon and bringing to life everything around it.  I’ve known Jodi since before high school and was so excited to capture her and her beautiful daughter!  We had lots of laughs, a little whipped cream fight, and so many amazing smiles, it was a session for the record books!  This session will fill you with such happiness and give you all those warm fuzzy feelings!  I love nothing more than capturing a family all while catching up and reminiscing with a wonderful friend!  Thank you Crossgrove Family for such an amazing fall session!
