As we head into the end of summer and start our prep for back to school, we are also starting to ready our fair and 4-H projects!  Unfortunately this year our fair will look much different due to the pandemic.  Our Jr. Fair members will still be showing their animals as planned, but there will be no senior fair entries or displays.  However that did not stop the Gerald Busy Fingers from wanting to create custom ts and crews for their club members!  What a fun and unique way to promote a positive environment and bring kids together as we all navigate a new and unusual 4-H year!  Best of luck Henry County Jr. Fair members!

Clubs around are area are kicking off the 2020 4-H season!  Projects are getting decided, community service projects are being looked into, fundraisers, and family night!  So many fun things to do in the months leading up to the fair this coming August, a week that seems to never get here, but flies when it finally does.  Every few years our club likes to update t’s & hoodies for a fresh new look and to help welcome new members, and since the kids are always growing, they are outgrowing the previous year’s t’s!  Last year we went with a look of empowering words; to encourage and provide positivity to our members in all that they do, whether it be during the 4-H season or once they have headed back to school.  We have a great group of kids who all did well with their projects last year!  Here’s to kicking off the 2020 4-H season and a huge welcome to all of our new members!

One of my favorite things to do is create designs for organizations that hold a special place in my heart and that I get to be a part of!  It’s been a few years since our 4-H club did t-shirts, so we decided that with so many new members, it was time for an updated look!  We went with a simple, yet unique look this year, using halftones in the background to help give it a dimensional look and help to make our club name stand out.  Adding in hoodies and long sleeve t’s, families could gear up for the 4-H year and fair, which starts next week already!  Thanks to everyone, parents, members, and my fellow advisers for a wonderful year so far!  Congrats to everyone on judging in July and good luck to those exhibiting livestock at the fair!

Our county fair fun starts this Friday!  Each year the Tomato Festival Pageant is held with an individual representing from each township in the county.  Many whom have attended our fair know that preceding the pageant is the parade, and along that route you will see many of the participants’ families with signs, noise makers, and more!  This year I was honored to be contacted by a contestant’s mom to create shirts for her fan club!  What a fun way to support your township representative!  Best of luck to all participating in the 2014 Henry County Fair!
