Senior year is such an exciting milestone — full of “lasts,” but also so many new beginnings. This was Macy’s second half of her senior photos, and we were thrilled to capture even more of her personality and style this time around!

We started our afternoon in Grand Rapids, Ohio, where the charm of the small town made for the perfect backdrop. From rustic brick walls to cozy storefronts, her natural confidence and laughter brought her images to life. The fall colors along the streets added such a warm, timeless glow to her portraits and the low water level allowed for some fun images in the river!

After exploring Grand Rapids, we headed back to Napoleon, to finish her session in some of her favorite local spots.

This second session felt like the perfect continuation of her senior story — relaxed, joyful, and full of adventure. We love when seniors choose to do a follow-up session; it gives us a chance to capture more of who they are as they head into their next chapter.

Congratulations, Macy — we can’t wait to see all that your senior year brings!

As fall quickly approaches in Ohio, we are all trying to hang onto as many of the last bits of summer as possible!  Here in Henry County, just a couple of weeks ago we wrapped up our county fair, a place that holds so many memories and emotions for a large portion of the county, including our family.  It isn’t just a week of fair fun, but work, jr. fair shows, and time spent hanging in the barns.  We were able to sneak away from the busyness to capture part of Macy’s senior session out on the midway and with her favorite guy, Tuna 😉  We had a great time with Macy, from the grandstand and midway, to the barns and beef stand; stay tuned for the second half of her session in the coming weeks!

The unusual warm November weather may soon be coming to an end, but we had a beautiful evening for the Sell Family at a local park with fun trails and still a bit of fall color!  The girls helped us to find the perfect spots, gave us lots of gorgeous smiles, belly laughs, and kept us on our toes.  It’s been a couple years since we have captured this wonderful family and the girls sure have grown into exceptional young ladies!  It’s always a pleasure when we get to work with families, thank you Sell Family for a spectacular evening!

The last few months have been filled with many wonderful graphics projects that we haven’t had time to share due to the business of fall photo season, but we are looking forward to sharing them all with you soon!  One of the many is this fantastic Vintage Christmas Market flyer!  An event put together by local businesses full of wonderful and unique Holiday items.  Make sure to stop in and find that perfect Holiday decor piece, Christmas gift, and enjoy some local wines as well at the Thursday Sip N Shop!

We cherish every single session and family we get to capture, especially our families that we see every year.  The Grooms Family, like every fall, did not disappoint in this year’s location of downtown Napoleon!  Only this time it felt more like we were doing senior photos for each of the kids instead of their yearly photos, they have all grown so much!  We also love to recreate a photo each year of the three just to see how much they change, it’s so much fun to compare from year to year.  It won’t be long before we really are doing senior photos, but for now we will enjoy the years of them all together!  Thank you Grooms Family for a wonderful and blustery afternoon!

Reegan & Paislee are turning 1!  I got to spend part of my Saturday morning with these two adorable girls and their mom and dad at Leaders Farms here in Henry County.  They were cute as pumpkins and did so well for their session!  We took over their stage for a bit, then out to the start of Scream Acres, and topped our time off with a double pumpkin cake smash.  While a little hesitant at first, after a little coaxing and help tasting from mom and dad, they investigated and started to enjoy!  These two pumpkins are almost fully on the move and in just a few short weeks they pumpkins will turn 1, Happy Birthday Reegan & Paislee!

We have had some beautiful days this November, but I’m sure that cold weather will be here before we know it!  Though it was a bit chilly last weekend, that didn’t stop us from capturing this handsome young man!  I can’t believe Elijah is a senior, I’ve known him since he was small and it’s been a joy to watch him grow into a kind, funny, and genuine guy!  We found some amazing places in the alleyways of Napoleon and he showed me some trails by the river that I never knew were there and can’t wait to use again.  His guitar made for the perfect accessory, he even played a few tunes for us as we were out and about!  I can’t wait to see where the future takes him Elijah, thank you for an amazing evening!

Agriculture is a large part of our area, farming, livestock, and all that they encompass are essential to so many.  Our area schools have wonderful FFA programs and it takes a great individual to take one of the programs on.  I have been lucky enough to get to know our school districts FFA Advisor Ryan and his family over the years and we spent a fun afternoon capturing the fall colors with them!  From pumpkins and straw bales to trampoline bouncing and swings, the girls looked beautiful and we caught so many funny faces and smiles!  Thank you Sell Family for a fun evening!
