This year’s senior class is on fire!  Each senior’s ideas for their sessions are as unique as they are and Maddie’s session was no exception.  From a classy outdoors look, to the football field for some drum fun, and to the dirt and grind of the soccer field, Maddie rocked the evening.  It was an all hands on deck evening with all she had planned and it went off without a hitch.  There is so much that goes on behind the scenes of a session; dress fixing, hair adjustments, setting up shoes, and lighting things on fire all with the help of not only us but families as well!  Thank You Short Family for a fun evening and best of luck Maddie in the rest of your senior year and soccer season!

Saturday was a beautiful day and we got to spend it with AHS Senior Stephen!  We had a great time getting to know this young man and seeing him enjoy two of his three favorite sports while we captured his senior session.  Not only is he a great athlete himself, but he selflessly gives his time in the summer to work with the parks & rec program to help coach within the youth baseball program.  From the downtown area to the football and baseball fields, Stephen showcased his talents with lots of smiles and determination.  Thank you Stephen and family for a wonderful evening, best of luck in the remaining football season!

Fall is certainly in the Northwest Ohio air as the crops are close to harvest and the trees are beginning to show a hint of color.  Cooler air greets us in the mornings as the school kids wait for the bus and the Archbold football team is enjoying their Friday nights under the lights!  We were lucky enough to spend a Sunday evening with Quinn, a member of the football team and avid fisherman.  We had a great time exploring and doing a little fishing at Harrison Lake and then we hopped back in the car for a quick stop at Goll Woods and a wrap up at the football field.  Quinn and his teammates are having a great season this year and the community is having just as much fun watching them!  Thank you Quinn for a great evening, best of luck with the rest of football season and your Senior Year!  Go Streaks!

Senior sessions, we never know just what we will do or where we will go, but it’s always exciting to find out how they each want to personalize their time!  We were looking forward to spending time with Abbie and knew she would have some great ideas!  Having captured her two older sisters, she was ready to mix it up and we did just that!  From downtown and the tennis courts, to the football field and stage, Abbie rocked the entire evening and it was a great way to showcase the activities that are most important to her; trying to pick just a few to favorites to sneak was no easy task.  Seeing her step onto the courts and field she lit up and you knew these were her happy places.  The Short Family is one we always look forward to spending time with and we are ready to capture their whole family soon!  Thank you Abbie for a wonderful evening, best of luck in your senior year!

Last weekend we wrapped up our 2020 photo season with AHS Senior Caleb!  It’s been a fantastic year with amazing clients and outstanding images!  We started out in our small hometown of Ridgeville Corners, added in some cute fur babies, and then headed to Archbold and the football field for some football and band photos.  Football has played a large part in not only Caleb’s life, but his whole family’s; he’s even had the opportunity to have his uncle on the sidelines as one of his coaches!  I first met Caleb several years ago as a first year 4-H member in our club, it’s hard to believe that he’s a senior already and I look forward to seeing what the future has in store for him!  Thank you Caleb and family for a great evening and helping us to finish up the 2020 season!

Fall is quickly approaching, our nights are cooler and our days are getting shorter, summer has come and gone so quickly!  Schools are now back in session and that means senior sessions are in full swing!  Last Friday night I met up with Dana and her sweet family to capture the first part of her senior session!  Dana is one of the field commander’s for the school’s marching band and it was so much fun to head out to the football field to capture that important part of her senior year!  After wrapping up there we headed out to a gorgeous field across the road from her house for some golden hour magic!  Nothing can beat that beautiful light and our night was capped off by a stunning sunset!  Dana brought so many wonderful ideas to her session, we had some great helpers in her brothers, and I had a great time with her!  Best of luck this year Dana, I can’t wait for part two of your session!

Every senior session is special and unique, but this one was a little extra special!  Kyle happens to be a cousin of mine and he had some fabulous ideas for his session!  We started off in downtown Defiance, headed out to the THS & football field, and back to the woods for a little fun with some colored smoke bombs!  Trying to decide just which images to sneak has been no easy task, there are so many wonderful ones.  From brick alleyways and side streets, to the stadium bleachers and a little smoke bomb fun, help me in wishing Kyle best of luck next year as he attends The Ohio State University!
