While you may see fewer posts during the colder months, there is still plenty happening behind the scenes in the studio. The holiday season brought with it beautiful sessions that we haven’t yet shared, quietly keeping us busy even when things feel a little quieter online. As winter settles in and temperatures drop outside, the studio remains warm and welcoming as we continue photographing newborns and preparing for the upcoming season. There’s something especially magical about welcoming tiny new lives during Christmastime, and Baby Liliana’s session captured that cozy winter feeling perfectly.

Liliana was 11 days old at the time of her in-studio newborn session on New Year’s Eve, and she did so well. From the moment she was gently wrapped and settled, she drifted into a peaceful sleep and remained content throughout the session. She clearly loved being warmly wrapped, which allowed us to create soft, timeless images while keeping her comfortable and relaxed.

With the holiday season in full swing, we embraced a Christmas-inspired theme using cozy textures and classic seasonal tones. Holiday newborn sessions are such a beautiful way to document a baby’s very first season, and these images will always hold the memories of Liliana’s first Christmas.

One of the greatest benefits of a studio newborn session is the calm, controlled environment. The studio stays warm and quiet, allowing newborns to remain comfortable while we take our time capturing each tiny detail—from delicate features to those fleeting newborn expressions that change far too quickly.

Liliana slept beautifully throughout her session, with a few eye sneaks, giving us the opportunity to create a full gallery of serene, wrapped images that truly highlight how small and perfect she is at this stage of life. These early days pass in the blink of an eye, and preserving them—especially during such a meaningful season—is something families will treasure for years to come.

Thank you to Liliana’s family for trusting us to capture these precious first memories. It was an honor to photograph such a sweet baby girl and document her first days during the Christmas season.

Years and distance can make staying in touch with old friends difficult these days, but with the help of social media it’s made keeping up with others much easier!  I was happy to hear that an old friend of mine and her husband had welcomed a little boy eleven weeks ago and even more excited to find out that they were going to be back in the area over Thanksgiving!  We were able to find a time to sneak in a quick mini session as they were headed from one dinner to the next and though our time was short and we didn’t get to catch up as much as either of us would have liked, it was wonderful to meet her sweet family!  We were able to capture many of Reese’s sweet expressions and even a few of his mom and dad!  Over the last few months we have enjoyed reconnecting by sharing stories of our boys and giving advice to one another on things to try or what worked for us and it has been so nice to have another listening ear to bounce parenting questions off of!  Congrats Becca & Jacob, Reese is adorable!
