Lawson stopped by for his newborn session last weekend and he did amazing!  Slept through the session like a dream and did great while big sister Lylah took a turn giving him some snuggles.  I love when clients bring little things to incorporate into their little one’s sessions!  Kristi & Brandon brought an adorable hat and bear that matched perfectly into one of his sets and we were also able to do a little tribute to Kristi’s dad by surrounding Lawson with some of his John Deere model airplanes!  Love getting to see this sweet family and it will be so much fun to watch Lawson grow, Congrats Brandon, Kristi, & Lylah!

Just over a year ago I got an email from a sweet couple looking to book their photographer for 2018, we met and instantly hit it off!  Tyler & Olivia have been so much fun to work with over this last year when we started with their engagement session and save the date cards, to their invitations, koozies, and capturing their big day.  The day started out rainy and dreary, but as I arrived at the church, the rain stopped and things brightened up!  They opted to not see each other before the ceremony, but instead we did a corner meet so that they could exchange letters and have a moment to themselves and it was so sweet!  The bridesmaids and moms were great help in getting Olivia ready and the groomsmen were ready to get Tyler down the isle!  We heard showers while we were inside off and on, but when we were ready to head out with the bridal party, the showers stopped again and we had great weather for outdoor portraits!  Every detail of the day was planned perfectly, from the dresses and tuxes, to the beautiful cake and chocolate frosted cupcake heart in the middle of the cake table and the sweet note attached to the guests’ silverware!  Olivia looked gorgeous and Tyler beamed with pride as he saw her for the first time walking down the isle!  I’m so happy for Tyler & Olivia and look forward to seeing them around town and many more fun sessions in the future!  Congratulations you two!!!

| Jensen’s 1st Birthday Invitation

The classic John Deere vs. Case rivalry is strong in this sweet family!  Jensen has been in studio for his milestone sessions this past year and in July he will make his last visit for his 1 Year Session!  Time has just flown and it’s been so sweet to watch him grow and to get to know his family!  What’s more fun than a tractor themed birthday party?!  Love how this watercolor design came together and the final print was amazing!  Happy 1st Birthday Jensen!

Every once in a while it’s nice to sit and create something that has been in your mind for a while!  A few weeks ago I had a vision for a look for a fire department shirt that I couldn’t get out of my mind, so I decided to create one for fun!  I plugged in our local department name it all came together!

Happy 50th Anniversary to this fantastic couple!  I got to capture something a little different for a change last weekend, not a wedding or family session, but an anniversary party!  It was fun to walk around and capture the events of the evening, mingle, and share stories with everyone.  It just so happens that Norbert & Marie are not only neighbors and friends, but family as well!  From cake and great food, to tractors and polka, it was a great day!  Something that many don’t know about my family is there have been and are some amazing polka bands in it!  I grew up attending polka and square dances, and listening to Norbert’s band, Happy Times Polka, practice on warm summer nights from down the road!  Polka is so much a part of our family that we had Happy Times Polka join our DeeJay at our wedding to share some sets!  Happy Anniversary Norbert & Marie and cheers to many more!

Another fabulous family was up and at ’em last Sunday morning!  We headed to a great secluded park on a cloudy and beautiful day!  The older kids were big helpers in watching the younger ones so we could do different combinations of families!  Now that spring has arrived in Ohio we had a gorgeous green backdrop along an old bridge, and with the rain ending the day before and holding off while we were out, we didn’t have soggy ground and mud puddles.  So many great young families in this group, some adorable faces from the little ones, and some great laughs!  Thank you Hamman and Hall Families for a wonderful Sunday morning!

Another wonderful Senior that I have had the pleasure of working with this year!  His senior session was last fall just after football playoffs had ended and it was so cold!  You’d never tell in his images, he never once shivered or showed it!  Nic had a few ideas for his invitations, so I took his thoughts, did some creating, we made a few edits, and came up with this stunning custom look for his celebration!  Best of luck this coming fall Nic!

I had the pleasure of shooting alongside fellow photographer Shaylee Brown last weekend at a beautiful wedding in Toledo!  It’s so much fun to be able to weave our talents together, bounce ideas and thoughts off one another, and teach and learn from each other; community over competition, pushing each other forward, and building each other up!  The day started off rainy, but as soon as Nick & Theresa’s ceremony ended, the rain stopped and we were able to capture some gorgeous shots before the reception!  Enjoy some of my images from the day!  Thank You Shaylee for asking me to join you and Congratulations Nick & Theresa!

| Fry Family 2018 |

I spent part of Mother’s Day with the amazing Fry Family!  By the end of the session my abs were so sore from laughing, never a dull moment and such a wonderful time!  You might recognize a few faces from some previous individual sessions this year and I was thrilled to get to capture the whole group as one.  From four adorable grand kids, to a group of comical son-in-laws, side splitting laughter was on hand the whole session!  We ventured back to a gorgeous cabin in the woods with a creek, brilliant green color on the trees, and just a little mud!  Natalie and Annie did amazing and were gorgeous, Jensen was Mr. Ham as usual, and Miss Moline was perfect at just a couple weeks old!  Thank you all for a wonderful start to Mother’s Day, hope all four of you Mama’s had a great day!

Adorable Miss Moline stopped in for a visit last weekend!  She slept and gave us such cute smiles the whole time!  This week you have seen sneaks of her Mom and Dad’s maternity session and their baby shower invitation, and in true Wheeler fashion we went all in with John Deere greens and yellows, complete with a pedal tractor and wagon.  What’s sweeter than a baby surrounded by tractors?!  I have loved being able to capture part of Noah and Christine’s journey to meeting their beautiful baby girl and am so happy and excited for them and the journey that awaits!  Congratulations Noah and Christine, she is beautiful!
