Archbold Bands

This fall I have had the great privileged and honor to be a part of my high school once again!  From capturing the new Alumni Band and the AHS final marching show to a new logo, it has been wonderful to be a part of this great tradition again.  Archbold bands have had a tradition of excellence that has reached back over 40 years, and the current director of bands is not about to let that disappear.  She has taken on the challenge of continually pushing her students to reach a potential that she knows is there and that she knows they can achieve.  This is not only obvious in the classroom, but on the field as well.  Just watching these high schoolers march you can see discipline and pride in every step.  We wanted to create a fresh and new look for the band program that shows their past and present.  Creating a logo can be a daunting task for some, but we start out with a look, then build and edit from there.  Sometimes logos need detail and lots going on, others like this one, need to be less complex to really stand out and catch your attention.  You will notice the Streak in the background, this has been the logo for Archbold for many many years, while the specific A that has been used has changed a little over the years.  The A seen in this logo is the current A that the school uses, so we have incorporated the past, present, and future into a logo that the band program can be proud to call theirs.  I have had a wonderful time working with the director, whom also happens to be a fellow classmate and AHS Alumni, getting to know her family, and seeing her continue the proud Archbold Band traditions!  Congrats to the staff and members of the AHS Marching Bluestreak sand Archbold Bands on a wonderful fall season!

Simon Joseph Allen

Meet little Simon! He is the newest addition to the Joe & Jen Allen family and absolutely adorable! This little guy is incredibly special to me as his mommy and daddy are great friends of ours and I was so honored to be able to capture him in his first few weeks! I love when moms and dads have ideas for how to pose their little ones, and Jen and Joe had some great ideas that you now see before you! This handsome guy stole my heart the moment I got to meet him, enjoy & congrats Allen Family!

Wiemken Family

I got to spend my Sunday with this fun loving family! I’ve gotten to watch these kids grown up and I can’t believe how tall the boys have gotten! We headed down the trail in Florida, Ohio looking for the remaining fall colors and found a few! Was a beautiful warm October day! Enjoy the Wiemken Family!

Sharp Family

What’s more enjoyable than a family that finds fun in everything, no matter what the topic?! A family that has known my family for as long as I can remember! A session that went from serious poses to throwing leaves at one another and becoming lifestyle is one of my favorite things! We had a slightly windy Saturday, but in true farm life fashion, we rolled with the punches and made the wind work in our favor, if ya can’t beat it, join it! Thank you Sharp Family for a wonderful Saturday!

Meet Miss Zoey! At just over a year and a half this cutie is on the move! She very rarely sat still, unless it involved watching the cattle! A farm girl in the making, she is going to have the cows in the palm of her hand! She has such a sweet personality and gorgeous eyes that just captivate you! Enjoy this little beauty!

I got to spend my Friday night with this creative and wonderful young lady! She just turned twelve and we celebrated with taking pictures! Graicey and I took off for a place close to her house and spent the rest of the evening catching up, trying new things, and laughing! Thanks for a fun night Graicey!

Bre Sharp 2014 Liberty Center Senior

I have a very special place in my heart for farm kids, 4-Hers & FFA members especially! Growing up one myself, I know the responsibilities they have and what it means to be a part of organizations deeply rooted in pride and tradition and being a part of family farms. I got to spend a great Wednesday evening with the gorgeous Bre! A senior involved in basketball, volleyball, and a whole hearted country girl who loves her t-shirts and jeans! A girl after my own heart, lol! Congrats Bre and best of luck this next year!

Quinones Family

I love this family and feel so lucky to know this amazing couple! We all came prepared for any kind of weather, but the sky stayed dry, it got a little chilly, and Mila was a trooper! Little Mila has grown so much since we did her newborn pics three months ago and she just keeps getting cuter! The love that this Mommy and Daddy have for their little one just radiates from them in everything they do, she got so many kisses during the session that you could just see her say, “Really mom and dad, what are you doing?” Can’t wait to continue capturing this family and Mila in the future! Enjoy this gorgeous family!

Burtch Family

I got to spend an exciting Saturday night with this always fun family! Though I may be a bit biased! 😉 You’ve seen Brok and Trey in the last couple months, but Saturday was for the whole family! We met at a great bridge that Mr. Brok was enjoying running up and down on and where Trey & Graicey were able to find some unique photo spots. Up next, Graicey’s session! Enjoy the sneak peaks of this great family!

AHS Marching Bluestreaks & Alumni

I was honored to be asked to photograph my high school’s first ever Alumni Band! I was originally unable to march with them due to work, but when my schedule happened to change, I was honored to be asked to capture this fantastic evening! It was an night full of sharing memories, laughter, the alumni getting to know the current band members, the return of two legendary AHS Marching Band directors, and lots of emotions! To some this may look like just any other band, but to those of us whom were lucky enough to march under the direction of Mr. Ehrman and Mr. Hoverman, there is a tradition that exists far deeper than the eye can see! Congrats to everyone involved on a great evening and looking forward to next year when I can march along with all of you!
