Senior year is such an exciting milestone — full of “lasts,” but also so many new beginnings. This was Macy’s second half of her senior photos, and we were thrilled to capture even more of her personality and style this time around!

We started our afternoon in Grand Rapids, Ohio, where the charm of the small town made for the perfect backdrop. From rustic brick walls to cozy storefronts, her natural confidence and laughter brought her images to life. The fall colors along the streets added such a warm, timeless glow to her portraits and the low water level allowed for some fun images in the river!

After exploring Grand Rapids, we headed back to Napoleon, to finish her session in some of her favorite local spots.

This second session felt like the perfect continuation of her senior story — relaxed, joyful, and full of adventure. We love when seniors choose to do a follow-up session; it gives us a chance to capture more of who they are as they head into their next chapter.

Congratulations, Macy — we can’t wait to see all that your senior year brings!

We kicked things off last weekend with the beautiful Kenzie and her senior session at a local dam, where the water, natural textures, and soft light gave us the perfect setting for more relaxed, earthy shots. From the very first frame—her smile, her confidence, and her calm energy made it easy to capture her just being her. The surrounding nature gave a timeless feel to the portraits—perfect for marking such an important milestone.

After the dam, we headed downtown to switch things up with an urban vibe. The mix of bridges, old buildings, and city textures offered so much variety in tone and backdrop. Kenzie rocked every look and they all showcased her style and individuality.

Kenzie, thank you (and your family!) for letting us be part of this moment in your journey. We can’t wait to see where your next chapter takes you!

We spent Friday evening with some of our favorite people, The Burtch crew brought smiles, sarcasm, and laughter in great abundance and made an unseasonably warm evening just that much more fun.  The Maumee and it’s fall colors along with the still summer green trees made for great backdrops for not only the family but Brok’s birthday photos!  Thank you Burtch Family for a fantastic evening!

The unusual warm November weather may soon be coming to an end, but we had a beautiful evening for the Sell Family at a local park with fun trails and still a bit of fall color!  The girls helped us to find the perfect spots, gave us lots of gorgeous smiles, belly laughs, and kept us on our toes.  It’s been a couple years since we have captured this wonderful family and the girls sure have grown into exceptional young ladies!  It’s always a pleasure when we get to work with families, thank you Sell Family for a spectacular evening!

Love and Laughter were in the air last Saturday as we headed out to Independence Dam to capture Chris & Beth’s engagement!  With unusually warm weather for October and lots of great color, it was the perfect backdrop for their session.  Having known Beth for quite some time, it was wonderful to meet Chris and see the smile that he brought to her and the light that shown in her eyes.  It was great to catch up and find unique spots and some breathtaking views of fall beauty across the Maumee River.  Congratulations Chris & Beth, thank you both for a wonderful evening!

Grand Rapids, Ohio has always been a favorite spot for any session; the river, mill, downtown, and metro parks provide so many wonderful opportunities!  It was the perfect backdrop for the Verhoff Family last weekend to update their extended family photos and to grab a bite at the local pizza eatery after.  We may have had to wait out a few raindrops and showers, but once it cleared, we had perfect fall weather, adorable little ones, and a few adventurous adults exploring the river!  Thank you Verhoff Family for a fun afternoon!

A rainy Saturday morning cleared off just in time for a beautiful, cool afternoon session with one of our favorites, the Burtch Family!  It’s been a couple years since we did updated photos of the whole family, and with one off to college and another not far behind, it’s never easy to coordinate everyone’s schedules.  We luckily found a date that worked for everyone and made the most of our afternoon before evening football games kicked off.  While walking around we found perfect spots at Pontiac Park and were even able to enjoy the music of rib fest playing in the background of downtown.  Family sessions allow for so many different combinations of groupings; from parents and kids, to just the kids, individuals of the kids, a recreation of a photo done each session, and anything else we can come up with!  Thank you Burtch Family for a wonderful afternoon!!!

We have had some beautiful days this November, but I’m sure that cold weather will be here before we know it!  Though it was a bit chilly last weekend, that didn’t stop us from capturing this handsome young man!  I can’t believe Elijah is a senior, I’ve known him since he was small and it’s been a joy to watch him grow into a kind, funny, and genuine guy!  We found some amazing places in the alleyways of Napoleon and he showed me some trails by the river that I never knew were there and can’t wait to use again.  His guitar made for the perfect accessory, he even played a few tunes for us as we were out and about!  I can’t wait to see where the future takes him Elijah, thank you for an amazing evening!

This handsome guy with sweet dance moves has just kicked off his freshman year!  I adore our sessions and conversations together, he has such a huge heart and is one of the sweetest guys around.  We headed out to Independence Dam this year and it did not disappoint!  We found some amazing drift wood that had clearly been in the water for a while and there were also some steps just along the shore of the river that had one time led up the wall, perfect for Trey!  I can’t wait to see what this year brings for Trey, best of luck in school!

Seeing how much kids change in such a short time is amazing, yearly sessions are a great way to capture those quick changes and I love getting to see clients each year!  Brok’s session was a blast as always, he knows how to keep you on your toes and a smile on your face the whole time!  You might remember him from last year’s session with his famous hot dog shirt; this year he dazzled us with a sweet reptile on a bike at the beach shirt, just as adorable and fits his personality perfectly.  He seems to have grown about a foot since last year and definitely catching up to me!  We walked along the river and found some perfect spots, beautiful trees, and a great broken tree for Brok to climb, the perfect way to end his session as he climbs into the new school year!
