The hot, humid temperatures of July have arrived and we were honored to spend a very warm Saturday just outside our small town capturing Josh & Paige’s special day at their farm! From the smell of alfalfa and the gorgeous sunflowers, to the basketball hoop and corn hole for the kids, no small detail was left unturned by Josh & Paige. They were married under a beautiful shade tree and hand crafted arbor, surrounded by family, friends, and neighbors. A true Ridgeville wedding filled with good music, cold drinks, ice cream for all, and lots of love. What a beautiful day for an amazing couple, thank you for inviting us to celebrate with you, congratulations Josh & Paige!

Most of the fall color is now gone and we are seeing colder weather in the forecast.  Even without a lot of color, our local woods are still gorgeous and a great place for family photos!  We spent a fun evening with the Huerta Family last weekend and had some wonderful entertainment from the young family members!  After lots of smiles and belly laughs, we even caught a great silhouette of everyone.  Thank you Huerta Family for joining and enjoying the beautiful weather last weekend!

We love our yearly photo sessions and this young man never disappoints when we see him each fall!  From his contagious smile to his ornery antics, Brok makes every session nothing short of fun!  This year we headed uptown for a chilly afternoon of photos before the snow, yes snow, made it’s way to Ohio.  With some beautiful fall days still forecasted, the cold made it’s bone chilling appearance on Halloween!  However, we are ready for the warmer days to return as we capture our remaining sessions this fall.  Thank you for a great afternoon Brok!

| Averi Hamman 9 Months |

Sweet Averi popped in for her 9 month session and we had a great time with this little wiggle worm and her big brothers!  The weather was even perfect for us to head outside into the beautiful tall grasses before the weather starts turning cooler.  Jensen & Jace were big helpers in getting little sis to smile and even gave us some great big grins when they posed with her!  We can’t wait to see Averi in just a few short months!

The colors have fallen from the trees, the air has a calming chill, the Holidays are quickly approaching, and that means that Christmas In Ridgeville is just a few short weeks away!  Last year’s inaugural kickoff was so warmly received and supported by the community, that this year’s committee has added some new events and activities for all ages to help you kick off your holiday season.

Last year an outstanding home tour was held, this year they are prepping for a chocolate walk, musical entertainment downtown, an ice skating rink, and so much more!  Purchase a long sleeve t-shirt or short sleeve t-shirt to commemorate the event and help support our small community!  See the list of up to date events and times by clicking here for the Christmas In Ridgeville Facebook page for more details, and join us for a wonderful holiday event for the whole family!

We were ecstatic to be be involved in the event last year and are even more excited to be a part of this outstanding event this year; as a lifelong resident of Ridgeville Corners, seeing the community come together for this weekend event makes us so very proud to be able to help create for and contribute to Christmas In Ridgeville!  SSRM Designs & Photography has had so much fun creating the tickets, chocolate walk signage, and the new garments for this year’s event!  Come out and support all of the local businesses in Ridgeville on Dec. 3 & 4, SSRM will be out taking Christmas Card Photos for guests on Saturday and at the Christmas Village Craft Show on Sunday.  SSRM would like to thank you for all of your support over the years!  We are your local, hometown full service photographer and graphic designer of logos, garments, promotional items, signage, decals, and more!!

We are just one week away from the Christmas In Ridgeville Event!  It will be a wonderful time with carriage rides, yummy food and drinks, a tree lot, a visit from Santa at the fire station, lights, home tour, and wonderful company!  If you are in the area, stop out and join us for this small town event, you won’t be disappointed!  It has been a pleasure creating for my hometown and this banner was no different, it turned out gorgeous!

Last weekend we wrapped up our 2020 photo season with AHS Senior Caleb!  It’s been a fantastic year with amazing clients and outstanding images!  We started out in our small hometown of Ridgeville Corners, added in some cute fur babies, and then headed to Archbold and the football field for some football and band photos.  Football has played a large part in not only Caleb’s life, but his whole family’s; he’s even had the opportunity to have his uncle on the sidelines as one of his coaches!  I first met Caleb several years ago as a first year 4-H member in our club, it’s hard to believe that he’s a senior already and I look forward to seeing what the future has in store for him!  Thank you Caleb and family for a great evening and helping us to finish up the 2020 season!

Each year I look forward to the Grooms Family’s session!  The kids have grown so much since last year, I’m going to be the short one soon!  This year we headed out to some local barns and had a great time exploring each barn and the uniqueness it offered, amazing siding and great colors on each one complimented their fall outfits perfectly, we even got Mason to venture to the edge of the bean field!  There is never a dull moment with these three sweet kids, the jokes and smiles make the whole evening worth it.  Each year they top the year before, can’t wait to see what we come up next year!  Thank you Grooms Family for a fun evening!

| Ethan & Katie Wedding Invitations |

These two love birds tied the knot last weekend!  Katie & Ethan have been dating for a long time, they have been seen sitting in the beef barn at our local fair for years, watching tractor pulls, and going for tractor rides for so long you’d think they were already married!  However, just last year Ethan asked Katie to marry him and she said yes!   I was thrilled when Katie asked me to help her create the perfect wedding invitation for her and Ethan!  Creating custom art for friends and family will always hold a special place in my heart as I’m sure it does for any designer.  We brainstormed, edited, tweaked, and collaborated, coming up with the design that represented their big day!  From the wedding in Katie’s family machine shed, to the reception at our local American Legion, I’m sure that Katie and Ethan’s day was wonderful!  Congrats you two!

This Image.  This Family.  This Session.  The Wheeler Family had an absolutely beautiful day for their session this fall, cool temperatures, amazing golden light, and an adorable little girl!  There isn’t one image from their session that I’m not in love with, picking a favorite is nearly impossible and their session is one of my favorites from this year!
Last week I received a notification that an image from their session was going to be published in Shutter Scene Magazine!  I was speechless, excited, and in awe!  Publication, something photographers dream of, something I have been dreaming of since the first time I picked up my camera so many years ago.  It still feels surreal!

2018 has been an amazing year, from newborns, milestones, families, weddings, pups, and more, things are winding down as we near the Holidays and ready ourselves for the New Year!  Graphics projects are still keeping me busy and it’s been so much fun to create Holiday cards for clients with images from their sessions!  Logo Designs are underway and many more projects are on the books!

A huge thank you to everyone whom has helped me to get to this point, for supporting my leap into the graphic design and photography business to the wonderful and amazing clients I have had the chance to work with!  You have all made this business what it is, an amazing journey that I wouldn’t want to share with anyone else!  Thank You!
