Fall was in the air last week, this week we are back in the temperatures of the 80s and 90s, but the leaves are starting to change!  Last weekend I was honored to spend the afternoon with the German Family!  A wonderful extended family session full of adorable families, sweet grand kids, and amazing facial expressions from the little ones.  We met up at Sauder Village, our local living history museum that has amazing places for photos, from weeping willows and grassy places, to an old mill and wonderful old homes!  The kids did great and were thrilled to see the horse and her pony at the end of the session, brought lots of big smiles and laughter from all of them!  We found beautiful sunflowers and enjoyed walking through the Village that we had all to ourselves!  Thank you German Family for a fantastic afternoon!

This handsome guy with sweet dance moves has just kicked off his freshman year!  I adore our sessions and conversations together, he has such a huge heart and is one of the sweetest guys around.  We headed out to Independence Dam this year and it did not disappoint!  We found some amazing drift wood that had clearly been in the water for a while and there were also some steps just along the shore of the river that had one time led up the wall, perfect for Trey!  I can’t wait to see what this year brings for Trey, best of luck in school!

Seeing how much kids change in such a short time is amazing, yearly sessions are a great way to capture those quick changes and I love getting to see clients each year!  Brok’s session was a blast as always, he knows how to keep you on your toes and a smile on your face the whole time!  You might remember him from last year’s session with his famous hot dog shirt; this year he dazzled us with a sweet reptile on a bike at the beach shirt, just as adorable and fits his personality perfectly.  He seems to have grown about a foot since last year and definitely catching up to me!  We walked along the river and found some perfect spots, beautiful trees, and a great broken tree for Brok to climb, the perfect way to end his session as he climbs into the new school year!

Just over a year ago a message from a mom to be that I had never met looking for a last minute maternity session appeared in my inbox; she was so sweet and beyond excited to welcome their little one in a few short weeks!  I will be forever grateful that she took that leap and left that message!  It has been so much fun to get to know Alicia, Matt, & Warren over the last year, such a fun couple with an adorable little guy and I couldn’t wait to help them celebrate his first birthday with a family session.  We headed out to Providence Metropark in Grand Rapids, Ohio last weekend and with great weather after some humid days, it was perfect.  Warren did so well, we saw lots of smiles, giggles, and playing in the dirt!  I look forward to many more wonderful sessions with the Zirkes Family in the future, thank you Alicia for sending that message and Happy 1st Birthday Warren!

| Reichert Family 2019 |

I knew the moment that I met Beth, that we were going to have a wonderful family session with her crew!  She had so many wonderful ideas and we were able to combine our thoughts for this amazing outcome!  The Reichert Family is prepping to send their oldest daughter off to Yale in the next few days and before everyone went their separate ways and school starts back up, they wanted to make sure to do an updated family session!  We met at the always gorgeous Sauder Village Campground where the grasses were green, the weather was comfortable, unlike the sweltering heat we had just he week before, and their family was so full of laughter, smiles, and inside jokes that you couldn’t help but smile right along with them!  Thank you Reichert Family for such a wonderful summer evening!

| Zach & Kenzie Engagement |

Spring is here!  However while there are still many places with little color, there are others with lush green grass and budding trees!  I am so excited to capture the wedding of Zach & Kenzie this coming August and last weekend we met in Grand Rapids, Ohio for their engagement session!  Providence Park was still hibernating, but after finding several wonderful spots, we headed to the always beautiful Nazareth Hall where their wedding reception will be held!  Even though it was only a few miles away from our starting point, there were gorgeous green grasses and the grotto was perfect!  After some great captures of the two of them, we tuned the engagement session into a mini family session and added in their beautiful little girl!  With a smile from ear to ear, you couldn’t be anything but happy around her!  Zach & Kenzie are such a sweet couple and I can’t wait to spent their special day with them!  Congratulations you two!

I can’t get enough of this sweet family!  I’m sure The Wheelers put their friends and family in the Christmas Spirit with this adoreable card!  Sweet Miss Mo on her JD 4020 and then snuggled up on her Daddy’s lap make for the perfect layout!  Custom Christmas cards make your Holiday Season that much more special!  Choosing your colors, designs, and layouts, and then having the ability to make edits and adjustments until it’s just perfect for you!  Thank you Wheeler Family for an amazing session, sharing your sweet girl, and for your wonderful friendship, wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

Jodi & Eve are two peas in a pod, their session was so much fun and getting to create their Christmas cards was the icing on the cake!  They were looking for a design to match their personalities, something fun and beautiful, just like them!  It’s wonderful to see how images from sessions fall perfectly into Christmas cards!  Thank you Crossgrove Family for such a wonderful session this fall and wishing you the Merriest of Christmases and a Happy New Year!

This Image.  This Family.  This Session.  The Wheeler Family had an absolutely beautiful day for their session this fall, cool temperatures, amazing golden light, and an adorable little girl!  There isn’t one image from their session that I’m not in love with, picking a favorite is nearly impossible and their session is one of my favorites from this year!
Last week I received a notification that an image from their session was going to be published in Shutter Scene Magazine!  I was speechless, excited, and in awe!  Publication, something photographers dream of, something I have been dreaming of since the first time I picked up my camera so many years ago.  It still feels surreal!

2018 has been an amazing year, from newborns, milestones, families, weddings, pups, and more, things are winding down as we near the Holidays and ready ourselves for the New Year!  Graphics projects are still keeping me busy and it’s been so much fun to create Holiday cards for clients with images from their sessions!  Logo Designs are underway and many more projects are on the books!

A huge thank you to everyone whom has helped me to get to this point, for supporting my leap into the graphic design and photography business to the wonderful and amazing clients I have had the chance to work with!  You have all made this business what it is, an amazing journey that I wouldn’t want to share with anyone else!  Thank You!
